Responsibility. It is not only a suggestion, but our responsibility to educate our youth and stop hatred in its tracks. As parents and caregivers, have the loudest voice when it comes to educating our children on diversity. Peer pressure is real, it is powerful, and your children are not immune. Your kids want to fit in. It’s easy for them to succumb to name-calling and bullying because their peers are doing it. It sometimes takes a great amount of courage to stand up for what they think is right. That courage comes from you. Teach them well, and lead by example.
